In terms of performance, what is the difference between regenerated base oils and virgin base oils?
Given their physico-chemical characteristics, regenerated oils produced through SOTULUB’s work method are as performing as new base oils obtained from crude oil. Regeneration specialists rightfully think that regenerated oils are even more efficient than new base oils, because their passage through the lubricated component makes them undergo a fifth refining, as compared to the latter.

Should there be segregation in the collection of used oils?
Within the Tunisian market, there are different qualities of lubricating oils (engine oil, hydraulic oil, industrial oil, etc.). During their disposal, the latter must be free of any products that could contaminate them or undermine their regeneracy (example: fuel oil, cutting oil, brake fluid and any other fluid used in garages).
Segregation must take place at the level of the recuperator (where the oil drain process occurs). In conclusion, the segregation of used oils is strongly recommended to reduce treatment costs. However, SOTULUB's work method allows for the treatment of all used oils.
